Angel’s Home began as a simple short-term rental business, but God placed a greater purpose on our hearts. As we encountered families facing eviction, survivors of domestic violence seeking safety, and individuals with nowhere to turn, we realized we had to do more.
What started as a rental home has grown into a safe haven for the displaced, the broken, and those striving to rebuild their lives
Angel’s Home is a faith-driven housing initiative dedicated to providing emergency shelter and transitional housing for:
- Families experiencing homelessness due to eviction or financial hardship
- Women & children escaping domestic violence situations
- Individuals transitioning to permanent housing but needing temporary stability

Meet the Founder
From Victim to Visionary
My name is MamaJay, and Angel’s Home is more than just a shelter—it’s my life’s mission, born from my own struggles, survival, and ultimate triumph. I know the fear, the uncertainty, and the heartbreak of losing everything. I know what it’s like to be trapped in an abusive relationship, with no safe place to turn. And I know the silent suffering of homelessness, holding onto faith when all hope seems lost.
For years, I was a victim of domestic violence. My first marriage was filled with fear and pain, but the day I finally found the courage to leave was the day I reclaimed my life. I ran away with my two daughters—just 8 and 2 years old—into the unknown, with nothing but my faith and a desperate need for safety.
Starting over wasn’t easy. There were nights of uncertainty, tears, and exhaustion. But I believed that God had more for me. Just when I thought I was rebuilding, I faced another devastating blow—after a near-death experience, I lost my home again, becoming homeless once more.
But I refused to let my pain define me.
Through faith, resilience, and an unshakable calling, I rebuilt my life—this time, with an even greater purpose. Today, I am an ordained minister, a servant of God, and a woman who turned her pain into purpose. I don’t just survive—I thrive. I have dedicated my life to helping others overcome the same struggles I once faced.
And that’s why I created Angel’s Home.
This is not just a shelter. It’s a second chance. A fresh start. A place where fear is replaced with faith and brokenness is transformed into strength.
